Documentation and Educational Support Centre

The staff of the Documentation Centre are always pleased to help you with all your documentation needs.

The Centre’s collection covers all of the College’s programs. Depending on the case, you may consult or borrow:

• books;
• magazines;
• DVDs, video and slides.

Loan Service

Books and Magazines

For books and magazines, the Documentation Centre allows you to borrow:

• 4 books for 2 weeks;
• 4 magazines for 2 working days.

Upon presentation of the borrowed items and your student card loans may be renewed once.

Audiovisual Documents

You may borrow audiovisual documents for:

• exhibiting in the viewing rooms available at the Documentation Centre;
• completing in-class presentations.

Audiovisual Equipment

You may also borrow audiovisual equipment for in-class presentations.

Computers

Computers are available at the Documentation Centre for:

• researching the library catalogue;
• performing Internet research;
• performing database searches;
• digitally scanning documents.

Databases

When using the Documentation Centre’s computers, the following databases are available for consultation:

• Biblio Branchée, a database serving newspapers in French;
• Canadian Newsstand, a database serving newspapers in English;
• Canadian Periodicals Index, a database serving periodicals in French and English;
• E-STAT, a database of statistical data for Canada.

Reference and Training Service

In addition to aiding you to continue your research on a certain topic, the Documentation Centre staff can also help you to begin work on a new subject whether it be through:

• the collection catalogue;
• the databases;
• the Internet.

Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms, containing audiovisual equipment, are available at the Documentation Centre for group work.

Fall and Winter Semesters

Monday to Thursday: 7 AM to 8 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM to 6 PM

Summer Semester

Monday to Friday: 9 AM to 5 PM
