2D/3D Imagery - 2D/3D Interactivity

Attestation of College Studies

Course Objectives

This program aims to:

train and enable you to create interactive products while effectively accomplishing artistic techniques inherent to the fields of audio-visual production and post-production;
aid in the development of communication skills in a collective environment and familiarize the student with the usage of specific software tools permitting the creation of 2D / 3D interactivity;
foster creativity and productivity;
adapt the student to the interactive media culture, and prepare the student to integrate new media techniques;
develop a professional ethic in regards to project responsibility and budgetary;
familiarize the student with bi- and tri-dimensional digital imagery concepts;
teach the student to create applications, simulations, Web and support-based interactive productions while developing skills in animation, modeling, bi- and tri-dimensional content design.

Career Possibilities

This program forms the student to become an Interactive expert, and therefore, to work in a production studio. However, the skills learned in this program are also applicable to the design and completion of various projects such as simulations, games, informational or promotional interactive media, web sites and other types of products.

Recommended Student Profile

This program was developed specially for those who meet one or more of the following criteria:

are creative & possess artistic talent;
are passionate about images, sound, computer technology and 3D;
have a basic knowledge of computer tools.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission into a program leading to an Attestation of Collegial Studies, you must have an education considered sufficient by the College and you must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:

having interrupted studies for at least two consecutive semesters or one full school year;
benefit from a government program or an agreement between the College and your employer;
having completed at least one year of postsecondary studies over a one-year period or longer.

Program Length

One year (three 15-week semesters) for a total of 915 hours of class time and 690 hours of lab time.

Groups & Workstations

Maximum of 20 students per group.
One student per computer during class and lab time.*

* Lab time is restricted to after-class hours.

Equipment

Macintosh and PC Intel Core 2 Quad.

Software

We constantly adapt our software tools according to industry trends as to provide access to new leading edge technologies.

1 USB key (256mb minimum);
blank CD-Roms;
artistic materials.
