2D/3D Imagery - Compositing and TV Special Effects

This program is a specialization for video editors who will expand their skills for TV and commercial introduction editing.

Course Objectives

This program aims to:

teach concepts of NTSC video;
demonstrate how to organize the workspace;
learn to pick plans which require special effects;
familiarize the student with the workspace;
determine the steps of production;
develop creative skills.

Recommended Student Profile

This program was developed specially for people who fit one of the following criteria:


have a post-production experience;
have a passion for special effects;
have a taste for technical work;
have an ability to respect tight deadlines and adapt to various schedules.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission to a program leading to an Attestation of Collegial Studies, you must have an education considered sufficient by the College and you must satisfy one of the following criteria:

a studies interrupted for at least two consecutive semesters or one full school year;
benefiting from a government program or an agreement between LaSalle College and your employer;

completion of at least one year of postsecondary studies over a
one-year period or longer;

This program requires as a prerequisite to obatain the ACS in Video Editing
Only students whom succeeded the Video Editing program may register to this ACS.

Diploma

Attestation of College Studies.

Program Length

One semester of 15-week. Total of 180 hours.

Group & Workstations

Maximum of 12 students per group.
One student per workstation during lab time.*

* Lab time is restricted to after-class hours.

You should have the following material*:


1 External Hard Disk LaCie 2d (120GB)
1 USB Key 512 Meg (optional)
