Beauty - Aesthetic Care

Inter-Dec College, in cooperation with famous cosmetics companies, offers a professional aesthetic care program recognized by the « ministère de l'éducation des loisirs, et du sport ».

Course Objectives

The aim of the program is to:

• develop the student competencies required to greet and prepare the client;
• use the equipment and the products;
• examine and identify the different types of skin;
• treatment techniques for facial, manicure and pedicure;
• apply basic makeup, wax-removal treatment;
• perform personalized sales transactions and daily management operations;
• teach you the skills needed to enter the job market.

Recommended Student Profile

This program was developed especially for people
who fit the following criteria:

• excellent grooming;
• willingness to make yourself available to clients;
• empathy, respect and discretion towards others;
• the ability to listen to clients;
• manual dexterity and a concern for details.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission to a program leading to a SSVD diploma, you must one of the following criteria:

• for students holding a Secondary School Diploma or a recognized equivalent, no additional conditions are required;
• students who are at least 16 years of age onSeptember 30 of the school year in which they begin the program, must have obtained Secondary IV credits in language of instruction, second language and
mathematics, or the recognized equivalents;
• for students who are at least 18 years of age, successful completion of the General Development Test and the SPR01 test in the language
of instruction, or its equivalent, are prerequisites;
• for students who have obtained Secondary III credits in language of
instruction, second language and mathematics in programs established
by the Minister, general education is required in conjunction with vocational education in order to obtain the following credits, if applicable: Secondary IV

Diplomas

Secondary School Vocational Diploma (SSVD).
Inter-Dec Beauty School Diploma.

Program length

One year (three 15-week semesters). Total of 1350 hours including a
90-hour internship at the end of the program.

Groups

Maximum of 20 students.

Adetailed list of the requiredmaterials will be provided to you on the first day of class. We strongly suggest that you buy nothing unless specified by your instructor. Your instructor will also be able to guide you in finding the best bargains. The cost of materials covers the
make-up, facial and manicure kit, the pedagogical material and the
uniform (white shoes are also mandatory).
