Beauty - Hairdressing

Inter-dec college, in collaboration with renowned companies, offers a professional training program (ssvd-secondary school vocational diploma) in hairstyling that is recognized by the ministry of education.

Course Objectives

The aim of the program is to:

enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to carry out routine tasks in hairdressing such as shampooing; hair treatments; cutting, setting, styling and streaking
hair, and giving a permanent wave and hair coloration;
train to carry out other trade-related tasks such as trimming or shaving facial hair;
provide you with the skills to create a personalized hairstyle according to each client’s needs, face shape and physiognomy.

Recommended Student Profile

This program was developed specially for people who fit the following criteria:

good sense of sight, hearing, smell;
manual dexterity;
a sense of responsibility and respect for safety rules;
the ability to communicate and good people skills.

Eligibility Criteria

You will be accepted in the program if you meet one of the following criteria:

for students holding a Secondary School Diploma or a recognized equivalent, no additional conditions are required;
students who are at least 16 years of age on September 30 of the school year in which they begin the program, must have obtained
Secondary IV credits in language of instruction, second language and
mathematics, or the recognized equivalents;
for students who are at least 18 years of age, successful completion of the General Development Test and the SPR01 test in the language
of instruction, or its equivalent, are prerequisites;
for students who have obtained Secondary III credits in language of
instruction, second language and mathematics in programs established
by the Minister, general education is required in conjunction with vocational education in order to obtain the following credits, if applicable; Secondary IV language of instruction, second language and mathematics in programs established by the Minister.

Diploma

SSVD (Secondary School Vocational Diploma).
Inter-Dec Beauty School Diploma.

Program length

One year (three 15-week semesters). Total of 1455 hours (90 hours of
practical training in a beauty salon).

Groups

Maximum of 20 students per group.

schedule an appointment.

A detailed list of the required materials will be given to you on the first
day of class. We strongly suggest that you wait until classes begin before purchasing any new material. Your instructormay have additional specifications.
